Desiree Ayres pastors alongside her husband, Mel Ayres, Senior Pastor and Founder of In His Presence Church in Woodland Hills, California.  In 1993 they pioneered Ayres of God Ministries and in 1995 In His Presence church had its first Sunday service, they have seen their church grow from a handful of people to thousands with regular increase continuing.  Together, they are reaching the lost around the world through dynamic Holy Spirit-filled services as well as through film, TV, radio, theater, music and most recently through LIVE streaming and the IHP church App.

 

Desiree grew up in Hollywood where her family’s profession was stunt work.  Her father, Hubie Kerns, was particularly notable for being the stunt coordinator and stunt double for Adam West on the TV series, “Batman”.  Consequently, it was natural for Desiree to pursue this as a course for her life.  Coupled with her high motivation and skill, Desiree grew to be one of Hollywood’s top-working stuntwomen, working on such shows as Dukes of Hazard, Remington Steele and the Fall Guy, just to name a few.

 

In 1985, Desiree’s last stunt on a hit TV show went awry and she ended up in a fire explosion which burned her entire face, neck and arms with 2nd and 3rd degree burns.  The Lord miraculously healed her within 10 days and God now uses her to minister to others in miracles, signs and wonders. Tremendous healing are often demonstrated by God’s power through her ministry. She has since written a powerful book about her experience and the healing power of God, entitled, “Beyond the Flame,” A journey from Burning Devastation to Healing Restoration.

 

Along with that incredible trial, for 10 years Desiree struggled with anorexia, bulimia and compulsive binge–eating.  Being completely delivered by the power of God for more than 30 years, she now boldly declares the truth of God’s Word and has written a book to encourage others dealing with the very same issue entitled, “God Hunger.”

 

Pastor Desiree compels people to focus their attention on the One who is able to deliver, magnifying the Word of God and Jesus Christ and not the problem.  Her message is designed to reach the hurting, the broken and the lost with the undeniable truth of the power of God’s love.  Her humorous style of preaching, along with her uniquely illustrated sermons, enables her to easily touch the hearts of the lost and those needing a fresh touch from God.

 

Pastor Desiree has appeared on The 700 Club, TBN, Daystar TV and other shows. She has also been on radio, as well as ministering at various churches and women’s conferences worldwide. She is reaching 2/3 of the nation with her broadcast on iTBN, 24 hours a day seven day a week.  She resides in Los Angeles, CA along with her husband Mel.
